The exception is with our music publishing and record label contract agreements between GigRight and our music clients, in which case we do provide detailed legal contracts.

Q: Once I upload my photos, audio and videos and write my text bio, can I change it later? A: Absolutely! In fact, we encourage you to regularly update your photos, songs, videos, and your text information on your bio. We cannot stress how important it is to keep your portfolio current for potential employers and other like talent who may be searching for you. Q: How do I manage/edit my photos? A: Its easy! Try to keep your photo quality high, yet preferably not too large in file size. Jepeg (.jpg) file format is required. Please do red-eye removal when possible before uploading, at least for close-up head shots. There are many free or inexpensive photo editing software programs available in stores or via the Internet. Check your computer, you may already have a program that allows you to edit, crop, resize, brighten and remove red-eye with your photos.
Q: Will my profile be seen only in the U.S. or will it be seen in other countries too? A: Get ready world traveler! Your entire portfolio can be seen worldwide! GigRight.co.uk will soon be a presence in Europe. Our text language translator link will help you, potential employers and other like talent, to quickly translate for ease of communication.
Q: If I get contacted by a potential talent scout/employer, can I make my travel and hotel reservations directly from this website? A: Of course! GigRight.com has at your fingertips, links to many major discount travel websites and other useful links to help your gig go smoothly and efficiently.
Q: Why can’t I post more photos, audio and video? A: We have purposely set a limit to member profiles. Too many files will confuse and overwhelm potential talent scouts such as talent agents, managers, publishers and publicists. Their time is limited. They want to find talent quickly and easily. For you to present yourself professionally, you should keep your portfolio current and brief, easy to read and view. A dozen or so quality samples are what scouts are expecting to see, so please select your best work to post. Remember, your portfolio is your electronic resume!
Q: Can I upload photos, songs or videos that I recorded at a live concert/talent show?
A: We strongly recommend that you only film yourself or your group, and that all included performers are members of this site. The artists highlighted in your photos, songs or videos, must be reproduced and posted ONLY with their permission. You may need permission from the venue for rights to reproduce. GigRight does not practice, condone or endorse copyright infringement, so please post only with the intention of promoting yourself, the GigRight member. Posting of random commercial artists will be deleted, as this is inappropriate and potentially illegal. GigRight is here solely to help you the artist as a GigRight member, to promote yourself and to connect with others. Q: I am having problems uploading and/or maneuvering through the site. A: Log out of your account and then log back in. Refresh your browser, or close and reopen it. You may need to cleanout your browser’s cache...most common browsers such as Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox allow you to delete all of your temporary files and cookies, and should be done routinely for fast and smooth web browsing. Check your browser’s help for instructions on cleaning out your cache. If you leave your computer on all the time, you may want to restart it at least once a week to clear the memory.
Q: I'm an artist. When is my art considered inappropriate posting? A: A word about nudity. GigRight is a talent website. We love and welcome most forms of artwork. We believe art is a free-form of expression, interpreted individually through the eyes of the beholder. From time to time, human nudity is shown within the art, photography and fashion modeling industries. We respect that the general public recognizes nudity as a true form of art. For this reason our company allows “moderate” nudity, provided it is done in a tasteful and discreet style. However, inappropriate postings such as vulgarity, pornographic or offensive photos, songs or videos will be screened and deleted from our site. Please use discretion when posting. If you have a question about appropriateness of a potential posting, please contact GigRight for consultation. We respect you, the artists in expressing your artistic talents and ideas in free-forms of art. However, some reasonable restrictions need to be enforced so as not to offend other members or guest visitors. Please act responsibly.
Q: How do I use the LANGUAGE translator? A: On the upper right corner click the LANGUAGE drop-down selection. Login. To save your preferred language for every login: Click MY ACCOUNT > SETTINGS > ACCOUNT SETTINGS > LANGUAGE > select your language and click SAVE ACCOUNT SETTINGS. You can change your language anytime.
Q: How do I cancel my account? A: GigRight is working fulltime to make every effort to keep our customers satisfied long-term. However, if for some reason you wish to cancel your account, please review our Terms & Conditions and then email Customer Service
Other Posting Tips:
On GigRight, many of our members may choose to publicly post their personal contact information such as their personal website address, email address, physical address and phone number on their profile. Members would then be contacted directly via phone or address, either through our website or their personal website. This is your choice of course, but realize that your exposure level and potential vulnerability would be far greater than those who choose not to publicly post their personal information. We do not encourage or advise posting your personal contact information, for safety reasons. Please keep in mind that GigRight is not liable in any capacity if you do choose to publicly post your personal contact information. You would assume all risks and liability. You the member have the right and ability to hide your personal contact information from the public. Contact from one member or talent scout to another will be initially by email only. Terms & Conditions
Another crucial point in gaining exposure is to detail your profile bio information/resume and include items such as your most current work, places where you may have publicly performed, venues where your artwork or photography were displayed, etc. Include testimonials, letting prospective talent employers know who you are and what you do. You may need to choose multiple talent categories within your profile. It is important that you select your talent categories appropriately so our database can link you to the correct people to benefit you both. Example: If you are primarily a Blues musician, but accidentally select Rock, don't be surprised if someone contacts you in reference to Rock music instead of Blues. This could be a waste of your time and theirs. This could also lead to a misrepresentation that could delay your success. Keep your profile bio/resume, photos, and optional audio and video uploads accurate, concise and up-to-date.
