Content: Hey guys just wanted to know if i should join a union or if it is really necessary. Trying to find steady paying work is tough enough and i cant afford a lot of extra overhead like paying union dues or commissions unless its really going to help me. Anybody have an opinion on joining unions? I have belonged to a couple in the past but it didn’t really seem to make any real difference helping me find work although some bands say it’s a must to join. I find many clubs don’t require union membership but a few do. Just wondering.
