Subject: Gallery Submission tips
Content: I found that submitting to many galleries via their websites can be beneficial for getting your art and photography work shown in galleries. It takes time and persistence but it eventually pays off. Many sites will gladly accept your work usually via cd disk via snail mail. Some will take it online via email too. Some galleries will have special offers when they are taking submissions so keep a lookout for those announcements on their sites. Sometimes I get turned down and it does get frustrating but just keep trying. Persistence will get you into galleries. Its not neccessarly free either, some galleries charge rental space by the month or year, and many charge you commission on your sales too. Every gallery is different. Also be sure that you have a ‘theme’ for your art work. Many galleries are looking for a specific brand or style for their buyers and sponsors, and if you happen to have what they are looking for, its all about timing. good luck
